The BIG-Mix-Globe is integrated in a standard 40-ft container. This ensures a simple, fast and cost-effective worldwide shipping.

The parts of this high quality solid matter dosing unit which are in contact with the substrate are completely made of stainless steel.

The storage and dosing of difficult, long-fibrous substrates such as grass silage, horse and farmyard manure or straw and hay plays an important role in many biogas plants. The BIG-Mix Globe solid dosing unit is characterized by a large storage volume with a subsequent, proven mixing and dosing technology by a vertical mixing screw. It is highly versatile for the most difficult substrates and characterized by its low energy consumption. Our BIG-Mix Globe make sure you get a durable system with proven technology and individual adaptation possibilities.


Special Characteristics

BIG-Mix-Globe

The BIG-Mix Globe stands out due to the low amount of energy required for large feed volumes of difficult substrates. The distinctive feature consists of 12 stainless steel push strips individually driven by hydraulic cylinders. These push strips transport the substrate into a connected mixing and dosing area. The material is processed by a vertical mixing screw and then transferred to a subsequent conveyor technology, for example conveyor screws . The push strip system enables the easy processing of difficult substrate material, such as 100% grass silage, solid manure, green waste etc. Volume capacities of 60 and 70m³ are available.

The stainless steel push strips are driven by an electric hydraulic power unit which is equipped with a low oil switch. These push strips transport the substrate into a connected mixing and dosing area. The floor itself is covered with a wear-resistant plastic, which results in low friction between the push strips and the floor.

The hydraulic power unit, the hydraulic cylinders and the control cabinet is installed weather resistant in the interior of the container, behind the doors. The drive of the push strips is effected by an electric hydraulic power unit which is equipped with an oil level switch. The BIG-Mix Globe is equipped as standard with a PLC control unit for the control of the mixing and dosing area.  

 
Level control by radar

The filling level in the processing and dosing area is monitored, as a standard, by a high-quality ultrasonic or radar sensor. The push strips only feed material into the dosing area again when an adjustable filling level is passed below. This control significantly reduces the running times of the hydraulic unit and the current consumption of the mixing motors.

Vertical mixing screws made of stainless steel are used as standard for the preparation of the stored substrates. The mixing screw can be fitted with stainless steel cutting blades to process the substrate more efficient. The processed substrate is given to a conveyor screw and thereby to the downstream feeding thechnology.

Weighing System

For an accurate control of the loading capacity we focus on shear force or pressure sensors. Different display units, optionally coupled with a well-readable, alphanumeric display with double-row LEDs, provide high usability and a simple programming of the optimal dosage quantities. For the further processing of the data both analog signal outputs as well as Profibus interfaces can be be provided.
